Beavers Streak Halted At One Game,  Edged By Blockers 8-1

Team remains winless without Corsky and Van Wilder

The only thing tougher than watching the Beavers throw this game away is writing about it, although the referees didn't help much with some questionable calls.  

After a promising win the week before that the Beavers were hoping to build upon, they are now staring down a demotion to Rec 1 hockey.  The spirits were so low after the game, three beers went untouched and made their way home with Smiles. The Beer Burglar didn't even notice that Poddy hid his beer under his dirty underwear.

On the brighter side of things, the Beavers were able to hold the Blockers off the score board for more than three minutes to begin the game.  This despite a terrible call by the referee on promising rookie Young Nammer that left the Beaves short for 4 mins.

The Blockers scored 6 goals in the first.  The Beavers responses? 1 goal in the second.  Blockers score a couple more in the third.

Seriously unmotivated to write about this game.  Surely there were some highlights for the Beavers, but it would require too much energy to write about.

Coach is going have to give some serious motivational speach before the next game.
