Beavers Still Chomping At The Bit... Lose Yet Again After winning one in a row, the Beavers have now lost three straight, including their first in the hard fought E1 division. Just when they thought they hit rock bottom and felt sure that they could finally pull it together, there was still a hint of doubt in the air. The only saving grace is that they renamed the Rec division to E which technically means they are playing competitive hockey... sort of. Not much use pointing out the highlights in this one, but what the heck. The Red Rocket's red eye is getting better. The second line actually scored, Young Nammer on a feed from the Fieldmouse. The Beavers did score more than one goal, first time in two games. Al the Italian Stalion, Poddy and Rat got two points each... and Corsky didn't say the word cock all night. He did say "Bet your balls!" in a spirited fashion before the game got underway. K-Lo blew a blade for the second time this season, but got it repaired in the proshop in time to take to the ice for the final goal... against. The refs sucked. Fieldmouse and K-Lo actually got called for body checking. What a joke. Rat went bizzerk behind the net... to everyone's suprise. Rat said "Got shoved from behind and if it weren't for my cat like reflexes, my head would have gone into the crossbar..." and then with clenched teeth, drawn in air, tilt of the head and eyes drifting to to the floor he said "Not the crossbar". Smiles got his head nearly torn off trying to get the puck. The non-penalty that sucked ass the most was when the Edward Blow Bones had five skaters on with one in the box and the refs whistled down the play saying it was their fault. Nice muligan. Very frustrating to say the least. Nammer got very vocal in the dressing room after the game saying "No I can't have another, I won't be able to drive." Even the glint in the beer trained eye of the Bear Burgalar has dimmed. Don't really know if Van Wilder or Paddy would have made a difference. Doubt it. Not worth staying up any longer to write this.
